Summer Sunday

Tell me he's not a mini surfer stud

Summer is finally here. Finally, I tell you. Back when I found out I was pregnant I had this vision that my newborn baby and I would spend most of our time outside in the early summer {me in the sun, baby shaded and napping}. It hasn't really been quite that outcome, much to my surprise ;) We spent a few hours on the beach yesterday and it was so nice. The beach is just therapeutic. Even if hauling our junk is the equivalent to a normal workout, it's all good.

It was our first time trying out a swim diaper {whoa now!} and baby sunscreen. Not pictured is his really cute hat that got taken off in the car seat after a tantrum. Poor little guys eyes are closed in all the pics from the sun! That and he might have still been upset from dipping his toes in the ocean, that wasn't his favorite moment. If you have baby beach recommendations I would love to hear them! Yesterday went pretty smoothly and I will share my tips soon.

How was your weekend? xo.

Such a cute beach baby!! I have visions of taking baby boy to the pool and beach this summer- I know it isn't exactly realistic but I hope we can make a few trips! Can't wait to hear your tips.

Aww, these pics are great! I just learned that swim diapers don't absorb pee over the weekend. Blew my mind!

I love Weeks' little blonde peach fuzz! And isn't it amazing how much stuff you need for a beach or pool outing?! I'm in the market for a new, very large, beach bag :)

So sweet! I was the same way with the visions of baby sweetly napping beside me in the shade. Ha! My baby did not nap anywhere but her crib. However, I really recommend California Baby sunscreen for the wee ones under six months. It is the best!
