Beach Time With My Bud

His curls in the sun and wind might be my favorite sight ever. And a sandy mouth!
PS- Sorry for my messy hair. That's how I roll on the beach. There is no point in trying! :)

baby jammies

Linking up today to a PJ party...what a fabulous idea ladies!
These are my favorite little set of jammies Weeks has had so far!
I love these little monsters, made by Carters!

Love his expression in this one!

And I know these aren't PJs but I had to share this photo of him with his golden retriever buddies....

Head over to The Good Life and The Tichenor Family to link up your minis!

Friday Finds 7.5.13

Songza for Babies...
Our little guy is beginning his first stage of teething. Yikes. Where have I been? I just wasn't expecting it so soon. I still think he is a newborn most of the time. I love the songza app on my iphone and I found this station that he seems to enjoy. Funny thing is, I don't mind it much either. #crazy. It is called Children's Instrumental Bedtime Tunes. There are lots of songs I recognize that aren't just lullabies.

Cool Whip and Cookie Cake
Who wants the recipe?!? This is hands down one of the best things you will ever devour. It's just insanely good. I usually don't decorate it with an American flag, that is totally optional to make it fitting for the other 364 days of the year!

Movin' and Shakin'
Weeks is loving his new found favorite move on his back. We say he's doing crunches. He loves to pull his legs up, followed by a smile. I think he's working on those muscles for rolling over next! Yay!

Favorite Fish Recipe
One of my most pinned recipes from the old blog, we made this Heavenly Broiled Grouper this week. I forgot how tasty it is! I love working seafood into the menu for a lighter dinner. If you don't have grouper I think you could use any other white fish. Yummy yum yum.

...That I mentioned last Friday. Try it, thats all I'm gonna say. My sister has been saying make it again since we made it last Friday. Fresh and fruity. I used chardonnay because I'm not a big sauv blanc fan. I'm sure it's great that way.

And I'm linking up with the lovely ladies of Five on Friday, of course!

Wishing y'all a fabulous weekend.

Baby Weeks: Three Months Old

Happy Three Months Weeks!

We had the best time with you this last month- somehow you keep getting sweeter. Mommy doesn't mind one bit! My favorite thing is when you hang your arms around my shoulder and neck. The best feeling ever. You are still growing like crazy little one, making us proud every day. You cut out one of your two night time feedings this month all on your own. You seem to regulate this pretty well so we are letting you call the shots at this point :) This month we spent a lot of time taking walks, going to the beach, cuddling {of course!} and venturing out a bit more. The more we go out, the easier it seems. A few months ago I thought we might never leave the house again! You make it pretty easy on us and we thank you for that. Oh- and that blond hair. I love it! There's a little more fuzz each day and it's getting a little bit longer. Here's a quick recap of your month...

We took you to Asheville, NC- the first of many trips for you here! We love visiting the mountains and Asheville since Mommy grew up visiting there quite a bit. It was quite a long car ride but you were such a good boy in the car. We are so thankful you don't mind your car seat at this point!

You loved the mountain air....

and got to meet your Great Grandma for the first time!

"Back in the car again, Mom?"

Mommy dreaded going back to work at the end of the month, even though you would get to come along. I worried we would miss out on moments like this, just the two of us <3

There is nothing better than seeing you smile, sweet boy!

Your silly faces...

You can see how hard you worked at tummy time- we have made such big strides in this department!

We finally got in some good beach time- you are a natural beach baby, we love it!

Those feet- they don't stop!

Those cheeks!

You seem to enjoy story time more now, you actually settle down and look at the books. It's a nightly routine we all love.

Your first day on the boat with Daddy...

Your personality seems to appear more and more all the time...

Little man hard at work.

Another beach day with Mommy.

My sweet, sweet boy.

Three whole months of more love than I could have ever imagined. We love you buddy!
