Baby Clothing: Target

I would've never noticed before, but let me tell you...there are infinitely more baby girl clothes out there than baby boy! Any boy Mom will tell you the same thing. However, all in all, I really have not had a hard time finding enough cute baby clothes for our little boy. Just check out his closet.

I will be sharing as I go along my favorites {before and after baby}, and I wanted to mention Target first: they are having a huge baby sale (so convenient since I already own all of these!). You might notice some of the onesies that were in yesterday's post. My sister did some serious work in scouting the cutest onesies out there from Target.

I have to say that initially I wasn't all that impressed the first time I browsed through Target's baby boy section. The colors, prints and styles were all wrong for my boy. I like sweet and cute, he is a baby after all. Since then, I found a few things by the Burt's Bee's collection, which is really great quality and available online only. Most of my onesies from the shower were Circo and I love those equally!

Target Baby Boy
Circo Three Pack Bodysuits /
Burts Bees Boat Onesie / Circo Srubbie and Washcloth Set /
Zutano BLUE Dog Bodysuit / Carters Socks

And since I can't forget all my baby girl Mommas, I browsed the Tar-jay girls section just for you too. Don't get me started on the little girls swimsuits. I would have a serious problem if I was having a girl because the swimsuits are just too precious!

Baby Showers

I feel so lucky to have had two beautiful baby showers: one here, and one in my hometown. It worked out perfectly for two different groups of lovely ladies. I wish I had taken more pictures, but you know how those things go! I am officially worlds worst when it comes to an event!

I loved the simple, yet stunning arrangement for the food table. This shower was early and we had a delicious southern brunch: ham biscuits, the most amazing cheese grits, and breakfast casserole to name a few.

Some of my sweet friends:

Obligatory picture with my stork...can't wait for that bundle of joy!

My shower this past weekend at home was perfect! The mantel was decorated like this and I was in love with the diaper wreath my sister made! It's so cute, I hate to take it apart.

My younger sister, Steph couldn't believe we had already picked out that very same elephant for the baby. {Seen on the nursery to date post} Out of all the toys in the world, we had chosen the same one. We are definitely sisters!

Cake made by Steph also...

With my roommates from college...both mommys! Thank you for all your advice this weekend too!

I have a stack of these to go through: advice from everyone at the shower. I cannot wait to see what everyone wrote down. I'm saving them for a quiet moment to enjoy reading these kind words!

Thanks for reading y'all! xo.

Bump Update: 32 Weeks

How far along? 32 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Didn't weigh myself this week. Eek! We will see at the doctor tomorrow.
Maternity clothes? Lots of maternity pants and lots of the same things!
Stretch marks? Fingers crossed.
Sleep: Still sleeping pretty well.
Best moment this week: My baby shower on Saturday. Due to the bad weather, some people couldn't make it. However, it was so special and so much fun. Thank you to my Mom and sisters who put it on! I loved all of the sweet presents for our little man, I'm just amazed by everyones kindness! We also had deliveries on our doorstep every single day last week. I could get used to that, right?!
Miss Anything? Beginning to want a glass of wine! Especially after a stressful week.
Food cravings: Lots and lots of sweets. I bought mini Krispy Kreme donuts and I let myself have one each morning last week. I could have easily devoured several more :) I'm beginning to think I will fall off the wagon as far as food goes, I'm so ready for this baby and I feel about 100 months pregnant!
Symptoms: Back hurts some days. I can feel the baby cramping my lungs also. Not bending over quite as much these days!
Have you started to show yet: Silly question now!
Gender: Cannot wait for our BOY.
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Still feeling pretty happy. I can get emotional these days too...crying over tv shows, baby shower presents...etc.
Looking forward to: February. That means March is right around the corner! We still have lots to do to get ready for the baby and I'm looking forward to all of it.

Moments from this week...

{Couldn't get enough niece time this past weekend}

 {Our best attempt at a girls family photo, we neglected to get one at the shower!}

 {Taking the little man to his first NCSU v. UNC basketball game. He was our good luck charm!}

 {Love those little baby legs!!}

Mindy Mae's Market

Good Morning everyone! Did everyone have a good weekend? I sure hope so. We took a little road trip to Raleigh through sleet and ice on Friday afternoon. Complete with stopping the car multiple times to knock the ice off of the wipers, and the defrost/heat blasting on about 90. {Really fun ride in the car for a pregnant woman. Did I mention I miss wine?} Did anyone else have winter weather? It was absolutely frigid and yes, I am looking forward to warmer temps. Sorry, it's the southerner in me!

Today I'm introducing my first sponsor- Mindy Mae's Market. I'm so glad the sweet people at Mindy Mae's contacted me- I had never heard of them before but they have some adorable items. Here are a few of my favorites!

A statement necklace is always welcome in my jewelry bag....

And a cute neon striped top is pretty much the kind of thing I could live in!

Being on the coast,  I love a nautical touch to my jewelry. I love how the anchor sits sideways!

I'm so happy to have you Mindy Mae's, it was so much fun to explore all of your fun finds.
Now y'all go check them out and start your Monday off browsing some pretties!

xo.

*I never thought I would have a blog where I would be featuring sponsors, but I am doing so on a limited basis. I enjoy this for the fun of it, channeling my energy, and journaling my life. I only intend to feature sponsors and brands that I really do believe in!*

Time to Shop

Accessories Alert

Baked Eye Colour Palette | Laura Mercier /Diane von Furstenberg silk shawl / Kate Spade zip wallet
Sole Society Cherry Blossom Flat / Kate Spade Domina Sunglasses / Sole Society Ankle Strap Heel

When you aren't buying much in the way of clothing, accessories are always a sure fix to update and cheer up your closet. I wouldn't mind having any of these to get me in the mood for Spring.

I am really excited to see Laura Mercier's new line...the colors are ideal for me and the lip stick is my favorite shade of pink!

New shoes from Sole Society {I've mentioned how much I like this shop before} are the instant refresher for your shoe wardrobe.

And lets be honest, nothing is cuter than a new bauble from J.Crew.

What do you have your eye on for Spring?
XOXO.

Nursery DIY: Closet Dividers

After Christmas I was absolutely itching to make something for our baby boy's nursery. With lots of new clothes and gifts and gear, I wanted to add in a touch of something personal...from his mommy!

After seeing how the clothes blend all together, I decided I needed some sort of divider to help me keep track of what he has and what he needs. Trust me, it gets confusing. I also think these will come in handy in the future when I ask the hubs to grab a onesie...he will be able to know exactly what section to go to!

What I used:
-Scrapbook paper (2 sheets)
-Closet Dividers
-Martha Stewart Felt Stickers
-Mod Podge
-Paintbrush, Pencil, Scissors
-Sheet of white paper to trace

These are the closet dividers I found at The Container Store: .99 each. I bought eight because I wasn't sure how many sizes I would go up to. For reference, I used the following sizes:
Newborn, 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months, 9-12 months, 12-18 months, 18-24 months and 2T.

It's really simple, just trace the inside of your divider onto a sheet of white paper. Cut out and use as your pattern on your scrapbook paper. I loved the blue gingham I found at Michaels...I'm majorly into gingham right now.

I used mod podge on the backs of the cut outs and placed them correctly onto the divider. I covered both sides so I needed 16 total, which fit on 2 sheets of scrapbook paper.

Next, for your labels. You could buy something fancy at the store to make for your label, but I opted for the free version: print my own. On the other side, I stuck an elephant on from the Martha Stewart stickers {they were on sale at Michaels}.

Side One:

Side Two:

He's starting to accumulate a wardrobe! Baby shopping is SO addictive!

And since I was in the closet, let me show you a few favorites!

These are a few of his very first gifts from some very special people:

My goal is to keep his things very organized...next up, the dresser!
Hope you enjoyed it! xo.

Bump Update: 31 Weeks

How far along? 31 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Around 17-18 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Maternity/regular. It's crazy not to mix in regular clothes- I happen to have a lot of sweaters/cardigans/blouses that have worked great all along!
Stretch marks? Not any yet.
Sleep: Most nights good, a few uncomfortable.
Best moment this week: My first baby shower! My family came in town and we had a wonderful weekend. Seeing his nursery fill up with gifts from so many special people was enough to bring tears to my eyes!
Miss Anything? Nope. I'm not technically missing these things at the moment, but we have started a mental list of the "first" things I will have after the baby is born. All the forbidden pregnancy things. Might be a post soon!
Food cravings: Ice cream still sounds great! Fruit still sounds amazing as well.
Symptoms: All the sudden I have back pain {upper} and sometimes I find it hard when I'm sitting on the couch to get comfortable. Overall though, I feel good.
Have you started to show yet: Yep!
Gender: Baby boy :)
Labor Signs: No. I think I have had some braxton hicks after hearing a nurse explain to me in more detail though. The way I read about them online was not anything I had felt.
Belly Button in or out? Still in. By the way, in the photo above that is a wrinkle in my shirt sticking out! My belly button is still a few inches above that.
Wedding rings on or off? On- but, I started sleeping with them off some nights. I get a really panicky feeling if they are the least bit tight in the morning.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: So, so much! I have another baby shower this weekend at home which I cannot wait for. I also am getting more excited by the minute about this baby boy! I can't believe we will have him in our arms in two months! Eek!!

Get ready for this- here is the progression of a baby bump from 12 weeks {nothing to show at all folks} to 31 weeks! The baby IS now the size of a pineapple. A tan would sure be nice.
I feel pretty good for being able to wear the same shirt! ;)

One week closer to having our boy and I am a happy Momma!
xo.
