A Little Inspiration
It's been a while since I've done one of these. But they always speak to my heart! I've always been drawn to quotes- even reading them once can make an impact. When I was little I used to cut them out of magazines or write them down for later. Now, thank goodness, I have dear old pinterest for that. Just a little thought for your day. And if you have an inspirational board on pinterest I'd love to know about it! XO.

Friday This and That
Y'all made this post too easy for me: I love it when you have questions about something I post and I can provide some answers. I realize I'm not the best at getting back with answers, but I am trying to be better, I swear! Also tells me what y'all are really interested in!
-My Lace Peplum Top...
The most flattering peplum top I've found. I never thought I would be able to wear this style, period. It is stretchy which makes it a whole lot more flattering than a boxy shape that doesn's skim your figure. You will be seeing me in this one again soon.

-Blueberry Breakfast Casserole
-Pacifier Clip from Weeks' Easter Basket
My Mom picked this up at Pottery Barn Kids. They also have these other colors. Love!
What is on your agenda for the weekend? I hope we can get some things planted if the weather cooperates. Our anniversary is next week and we are scoping out a potential present to each other. How did that sneak up on us, it's been three years and we now have a baby?!
Happy Friday!

New Years Wishes + Bump Update: 28 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: We travelled all day yesterday and unpacked all night. No weighing yet this week, but I go to the doctor tomorrow.
Maternity clothes? I lived in leggings and comfortable sweaters for the most part this past week. I have a few new favorites I will share soon!
Stretch marks? Not any yet...getting nervous!
Sleep: Slept great.
Best moment this week: We had a great week all together! I spent a lot of time with my family in Asheville for New Years Eve which I will recap soon. We came home with a TON of stuff for baby boy. I am so excited to get his things organized!
Miss Anything? I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the champagne and wine over NYE and the rest of the week on vacation. {Didn't miss the hangover New Years Day!} However, at the end of the night I am always happy to climb in bed and dream about this sweet boy! Being able to have a drink pales in comparison to the joy I feel thinking about him.
Movement: Strong movements and turns. He found my ribs this week!
Food cravings: This is a funny story. For the last football game in November, we were coming up with snack food for the tailgate. Pregnant Katie mentioned to my Dad and Stephen to get some cheeseballs {the cheetos in the ball form}, I guess you can call that a craving. They didn't have any at the store so they bought two bags of regular Cheetos instead. Fast forward to Christmas...when I got home my Dad had found a gigantic plastic container of cheeseballs. However, I wasn't the only one who enjoyed them!! The whole family snacked on them, they are irresistable I don't care what you say!
Symptoms: My doctor gave me the option of a prescription for Nexium or Prilosec at my last appointment for my severe indigestion/heartburn. I went for the Nexium until I found out how expensive it was, even with insurance! It can vary, so that's not true for all insurance plans. I started Prilosec last week and 8 days in I am like a new woman. Even after the doctor prescribed it for me I wanted to hold out, if at all possible. It just got so bad, and I couldn't handle feeling sick all day long any longer!
Have you started to show yet: Yes, had my first stranger tell me congrats! Ha, awkward moment.
Gender: Loving our baby boy so much!
Labor Signs: No but I am starting to wonder exactly what Braxton Hicks feel like. I might have had some of those, just not sure yet.
Belly Button in or out? It's still in but that could change any day.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy and so thankful.
Looking forward to: I had such a great holiday vacation but I am very happy to be home now and start the New Year. We have some nursery projects in the works for this weekend. Stay tuned!
Last but not least, Happy New Year to all of you!! Here is what has me inspired for the New Year. What about you?

Blog Love
Sunday morning I finally had a chance to just sip on hot tea in my pjs and catch up on some internet browsing. Something that I have not done in quite some time.
One of my favorite finds was A Lovely Lark. One of the most charming and refreshing sites I have come across with a ton of cute gift guides and a focus on handmade items that are off the beaten path. I loved this DIY silhouette!
{diy silhouette}
Spearmint Baby is another ridiculously cute site. You know I am all about baby right now, but they also have other sites including Spearmint Decor, Wedding, Money, Kitchen etc.
I loved these Salted Caramels from Spearmint Kitchen decked out in Washi Tape. HOW cute for a shower, or even in red and green for Christmas?
{Salted Caramels + Washi Tape}
I love finding new blogs and new ideas. What are your favorites these days? I would love to hear!! Or, if you are new here leave me a link to your blog :)
We are off to Raleigh today for Thanksgiving. I am SO looking forward to a long weekend, especially to celebrate Thanksgiving. Safe travels to everyone!!
xoxo.

November :: Little Things
Did everyone wake up and say, I can't believe it's November? Because I sure did. I was thinking, while we have a little time before the Holidays really hit, it is the perfect time to enjoy some little things. How about sipping on some Peach and Apricot Cider {or even an Apple Crisp Cocktail for you lovely ladies?}
Today marks 20 weeks along with this little boy, a big milestone in my mind. I know there is a long way to go with 20 more weeks, and I am only hoping for the best. Coming home to two packages on your doorstep with baby presents inside make the journey feel a little more real. {Thank you Seldon!! And the baby is going to love his NCSU gear hubs!} I'm thinking I will treat myself to something decaf from Starbucks today to welcome the month and celebrate 20 weeks!
I guess my point is I am trying to enjoy the little things these days more than ever, and enjoy each gift that we are given. {This is me being emotional with a tear welling in my eye.}
Happy November y'all!

Making Things Happen
This week I have been major productive and crossed lots of things off of my to do list. I'm the queen of running out and buying my next project before I have finished the other ten things lying around my house. I'm feeling good that I made the decision to get some of these things done! Hopefully, next week I will have some fun things to show you! Until then, here are some pretties to keep me {and you} going strong on the motivation train.
{I'm actually not doing a ton of organizing, but these get my creativeness flowing!}
XOXO.

Wednesday Updates
Everyone and their brother is having a sale it seems. Have you scooped up any good deals yet? Not only that but I have been bombarded with emails from the likes of Saks and Pottery Barn saying they miss me and come back for 20% off my purchase. Why do they do this to me!?
I'm loving this top by Splendid on piperlime...
At this point I'm looking for things that a) will transition into fall or b) be on major sale. Let me know if you ladies have scored anything major yet!
I finally bit the bullet and bought a new pair of glasses! I ended up buying these on Zenni Optical, recommended by my eye dr for great prices. They only ended up being about $60 when everything was said and done. I wear contacts during the day and put glasses on at night for about 10 minutes before I go to bed, then briefly in the morning= I didn't want to spend a ton of money. What do you think? I am kind of having buyers remorse, are they really ugly and I didn't know it?!
If all else fails, it's only my poor husband that has to see me in them!
I liked the vintage feel, similar to this photo:

And this is what I'm going with for today...
I hope to have a little houseboat recap for you ladies tomorrow! xoxo.

Lazy Girl Fitness Inspiration
You might have seen this series floating around Pinterest. I saw it a few weeks ago and loved the brilliance of it. Especially since we are lounging and eating our way through the day at the beach for the third day in a row, and will continue to do so through the Fourth. It's amazing how quickly I can feel out of shape after a few days off!
So maybe I will do calf raises while I am brushing my teeth this morning...
And go into some side lunges....
And when I read the latest House Beautiful later, I will do some leg raises...
And add in a few standing push ups next time I'm in the kitchen...
I'm sure my family won't mind if I lunge through the entire house today....
For more Lazy Girl Fitness, check out her blog here, especially if you want to hear about Microwave Abs and workin' it while you do that laundry.
Realistically, I think I will be able to fit this into my schedule. We are off for a day on the boat!
xoxo.
