Mason Jar Margaritas

So that's exciting to see on a Monday, right? I'm excited to share this super easy margarita recipe that is not only so light, but also so easy (which doesn't always pair well together!) I have adapted it slightly from this recipe here. I prefer mine in a mason jar, iced down by those re-freezable cubes so your drink doesn't get diluted after 2.2 seconds in the summer sun. We carried these (with the lids on) down to the dock and were ice cold when we got there. Perfect!

MASON JAR MARGARITAS (ONE SERVING)
1.5 oz white tequila
1 oz lime juice
1 oz orange juice
1 teaspoon agave nectar

Shake your contents and add some lime juice and salt to your rim if you like (always good). It won't make a huge drink, so double if you want a little more to sip on. Enjoy!

This really is such a fresh summer drink, I can't imagine using a mix ever again. It's that good!

Hope you all had a very Happy 4th of July! :)

Gardening and Drinky Drinks

How was everyone's weekend? I hope it was fabulous! A few things on my radar today...

Before my opportunity passes me by, I am going to plant some bulbs with hopes of a bright and cheery Spring ahead. Since we are in the coastal south, we still have some time to plant {at least I'm hoping}...I have planted in November before so fingers crossed it works again.

This year I am going to try tulips! A first for me, let's see if they grow! For anyone who has not planted bulbs before...you must, it's the easiest form of gardening. See link above for bulb planting tips. {If you missed my post on paperwhites for the holidays, check it out here} Plant now, forget about them, and then see them pop up in the Spring. It's wonderful.

One of my irises from the first year I planted...

Since we are near to ringing in the holidays, my pregnant mind can't help but be jealous of all of the holiday cocktails torturing me on pinterest. So. I decided to search for mocktails and look at this beauty I found.

That would be delicious looking. Oh, and this cranberry cutie. Yum!

Recipes found here.

And since we are on the subject, here's what I like to call a Katie Cocktail. My specialty these days! I have made several of these, and I drink Sprite like it's my j-o-b.

Mix even parts and pour!

Cheers! Happy Monday y'all!
xoxo.

Tailgate Sipping

We are off to Raleigh this afternoon to get ready for the NC State game tomorrow. Tomorrow's game is military appreciation day and we volunteered to host a few military officers at our tailgate. We decided to do it up big and Stephen will be cooking a pig for our entire crowd. We have almost finalized our menu now, and I am so excited for fun, amazing food, and to honor our military. I just came across a few drinks that can spice up your tailgate! We just might have to try these next time!

I won't lie, I have had these before...lots of them! We love making beergaritas at the beach. They are so refreshing, perfect after a hot afternoon!

These look delicious! It's always nice to change it up, and they are RED...perfect for sporting our team colors!
At a tailgate, both of these drinks would be suited well in a mason jar, or
one of my favorite reusable Go Vino Glasses.

GO PACK!
