Five on Friday 10.11.13

Today we are going to play a bit of a game of catch up since I have been MIA this week. Sorry for the lack of posting y'all! I got caught up in a trip and I really thought I would have more down time while I was away. Wrong. When we weren't out and about I was tending to a baby. He keeps me going 24/7...what is down time anyway? ;)

On the Road Again
We headed south to Myrtle Beach for a few days this week for a business trip with Stephen and his parents. Really, more relaxation and shopping (and golf) than anything. It was a nice touch of a getaway. We had some delicious dinners, stayed a little too late in the hotel bar (and by late I mean actually really early, haha) and got some really fun things to bring home. It was so nice!

Laughing during happy hour with Mommy and Grandma...

Weeks playing with his new friend/bear...

A fabulous dinner at NY Prime. The onion rings were amaze. I highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for a white tablecloth dinner!

Late night with Daddy!

Another dinner at Ciao. An amazing Italian restaurant- think in house made mozzarella cheese.
That's what I'm talkin' about.

After dinner with my sleepy babe our last night.

J.Crew Factory Sale
I love finding some staples at Factory- the prices are unbeatable- especially when the whole store is 50% off, like right now! I love this top I got this week and I think I could use it in several colors. It's the perfect weight- not too awkwardly heavy, not too sheer and thin; and it's also a great length coming in a little longer than most knit tops.

I also got this skirt, and these pajama pants. They are going to be so cute for Christmas!

 Holidays Full Speed Ahead!
It's hard to believe that Halloween is in a few short weeks, and we all know Thanksgiving and Christmas is right on the heels of that. Stephen could not believe what he saw when he walked in our bedroom the other day and I had Weeks on the bed in his Santa hat. He really did enjoy it. I'm serious.

Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall!
Summer has stuck around a little too long in my opinion. I am not one to wish away beautiful beach days, but I am a teensy bit tired of feeling like I have nothing to wear. I have some great fall clothes waiting to be worn but it is 80 degrees. Since it's 80 degrees I should wear a dress, but I've already worn those dresses that transition into fall too much and everything else is too summery. Wah. I know, next week when it's cold and blustery I will want a warm day. Last weekend we enjoyed and sweated our way through the NC Seafood Festival. My man had to pull out a summer outfit, thank goodness it somehow still fit!

What am I looking forward to wearing as the temps cool down? Boots with leggings, long sweaters with layers and a leather jacket! Welcome fall.

Favorite Fall Nail Color
While on vacay this week I got to visit the spa for a really nice, relaxing pedicure. Oh man it was so wonderful. I'm kicking myself for not getting the name of the Zoya polish, but it is a dark red/purple similar to this. It's my new favorite fall shade!

Linking up with the lovely ladies of Five on Friday of course!

Y'all have been a busy bunch!! I'm totally with you on summer overstaying its welcome. It's finally getting chilly here in Los Angeles and I couldn't be more thrilled to pull out my boots and sweaters.
