Good morning y'all! I hope this post finds you well and happy from a nice weekend. I basked in the glory of a beautiful spring weekend and I couldn't have asked for more. Friday night we had dinner and hung out with a few of Stephen's friends, which was a nice change getting out of the house after recovering from my cold/whatever that was from last week. Even though I felt much better after last weekend, it seemed to drag on forever! Oh and I bought these napkins Friday...don't you love them?
Saturday was kind of chilly but beautiful and I spent most of the day outside. We headed to Lowes first thing in the morning and bought several plants and the stones for the wall of the bed around the patio. {Stephen and his brother built our patio over Christmas, he doesn't know it but he is a DIY'er as well!} It borders on the line of professional and I love the addition to our yard. Tucker was checking out the firepit this morning when I took these!
Southern Living's cover this month inspired me to work on a planter for our front porch. Now, you know mine isn't the wow factor of Southern Living, but I am thrilled to have some color on our porch! Here is what mine looks like!
Sweet little pansies..
I have a new favorite flower. They are snapdragons! I love all the pretty hues that you can choose from. Most of mine haven't bloomed yet so the height isn't there yet in the back of the pot.
Stephen was such a sport this weekend: he hung my drapes in the living room and even watched The Help with me on Saturday night. Have you seen it? I loved every detail from the book so even though the movie was good, it didn't come close to comparing to how I felt about the book.
I was able to take both of the dogs on nice long walks and give them both baths while Stephen washed the cars. The weather was perfect out of the wind {a common problem near the water}, I even got to sunbathe for a little while each afternoon!
Oh another side note, our team made it to the semi finals of the ACC tournament {robbed by the refs of the win} and are now on the way to the NCAA tournament. Happy fans because this is much more than we all expected this season! If you want to see how excited NC State is to be back in the tournament check this video out, seriously it will put a smile on your face they are so happy!
I hope you all had just as wonderful of a weekend...these are my absolute favorite kind- packed with fun, sun, work that makes you feel good, and love! I have a few recipes to share tomorrow from our delicious dinner on Saturday night, have a fab day! xo

Even though I am not a State fan that video made me smile. I'm so glad they got a good coach and are in the tournament.
What a fun weekend! I loved The Help (I saw it in theatres and balled my eyes out. And congrats on getting into the NCAA tournament. The badgers are in, too so I'll definitely be watching!

Hope your week is starting off great!
Looks like a perfect weekend! I love the napkins and snapdragons, I always had them in our window box when we live in NC!
Looks like a great weekend and those napkins are too great!
Sounds like a perfectly busy but fun weekend! Love the flowers. I saw The Help last weekend and I felt it did not come close to the book which was unbelieveable. But rarely does a movie match up to a good book. We are down with a bad flu these past few days ourselves - hopefully not to much longer.
The flowers are beautiful! I wish I had an outdoor space :)
