One thing is for sure right now, my house needs some c-o-l-o-r. Almost everything has some shade of white right now and it is looking really flat. After really thinking about what direction I want to go in, I am very much considering painting the den or living room a shade of blue. These rooms have energy but they are not loud. They are not nautical (which I want to be very careful of), I do not want a beach house. And they seem very current and young, but not too young. I'm looking for a room for a young family...refined and current. So what are your thoughts? The second photo is my absolute fave and I want to replicate it in every single way!

Oh, Katie, they're all beautiful and look just like you, but that second one is a sure winner in my book, too! I love the great mix of styles, and it has my same bamboo chair I scored on CL! :)
Yes! Loving these looks. And I have always been drawn to that pic of the 2nd room! Can't wait to see what you do with your space.
Yes!!!! Love the blue. So pretty and calming!
That robin's egg blue is so classic. I love that shade and use it a lot, just not as a paint (yet!).
I love the blue! It's the perfect pop of color without being too much.
LOVE all of this! I adore blue in our home and we wanted something light for the living room and picked Valspar's Wisteria Snow! Can't wait to see what you choose! xoxo
I think blue in a home is calming and light/airy. Not beachy unless you add a lot of beachy accents :)!! Love the pictures you chose! Xxxxx.
I have been trying to pick out a blue too. Right now I am leaning towards Benjamin Moore's "Yarmouth blue".
They are all beautiful but I really love that first photo!! Blue is such a calming color and perfect in the home. I love it especially with all the whites you have!
LOVE and am pinning almost every one of these pics! They are young and fresh, but still sophisticated and chic! Go for it!
I'm loving all things mint/seafoam right now and these are to die for! Each of these rooms are definitely grown up looking.
