Good Morning y'all! I'm going to go ahead and share with you one of the pieces of furniture I painted this weekend. It's not perfectly styled and finished exactly the way I want it to be, but I want to share before it goes to the bottom of my to-do list! Remember this?
{See here for original dining room inspiration post}
Take a look now!!
I decided to keep the pretty mahogany top {at the request of my husband} and primed and painted the rest of it with an white oil paint. You might also notice the walls got a fresh coat of paint in Navajo White by Benjamin Moore and the white mirror is now spray painted gold. I also gave the pulls a face lift with rub n buff, such an easy way to liven metals up!
Here is what the pulls looked like before....not a fan.
Oh and I also hid those pesky lamp cords. They are taped to the back of it, ha!
Zoomed out of the room...so far! We aren't done yet :)
Did you spy the oil painting? That is one of my pieces I did last year that was requested by the husband. It still needs a frame but I couldn't help hanging it once I saw the room coming together.
I like to call this one "dream cow" {haha} because this is exactly how he wanted the cow to look. I used tons of inspiration pictures to paint it.
{His grandmother owns a farm}
So there you have it, our dining room thus far. I have always wanted that buffet table to be white, to break up all of the dark wood in this room. I was happy to compromise with leaving the top wood, I think it looks fabulous! Hope you enjoyed a little tour of our space so far. I would love to hear your thoughts!! xoxo.

Amazing, Katie! I love that you kept the wooden top and painted the rest white! I think I'm going to need to attempt this once we start getting some furniture :)
