Pregnancy Essentials: Second Trimester

It's hard to believe in a few weeks I will begin the third and final trimester of this pregnancy! Actually, I take that back. Sometimes it seems like it's been forever, but sometimes time flies. I love hearing about what other mommies-to-be are using to make their lives easier. I remember reading some of these way before I was expecting, and was intrigued for my future needs! Here's whats gotten me through the last several months.

Pregnancy Essentials

1. Gap Pure Body V Neck Shirt The entire Pure Body line has been my very favorite staple for my wardrobe. I started out with buying a tank and ended up with several more long sleeve tops, with v-neck and crew neck. I have tried to buy more but a lot of the sizes are out. As soon as they restock I'm buying more!

2. Nature Valley Protein Chewy Bars Protein is a key part of your diet when you are pregnant. You are supposed to have about 70 grams each day. That's a lot! For reference, a chicken breast is around 23 grams. Not only do these taste great, but I can chip away at my protein needs and stay fuller longer.

3. Tums Smoothies If you are pregnant and don't have any indigestion I envy you. Just about anything can give me acid reflux or heartburn these days. Between Tums and Zantac, they are life savers.
4. Johnson's Baby Cocoa and Shea Butter Creamy Oil This lotion has the benefit of having cocoa butter with out the sticky smell I don't like. I have been using this lotion every morning.

5. Dove Beauty Bars My skin has proven to be even more sensitive than it was before, big surprise! Mild Dove soap has been the best thing I have found so far for itchy and bumpy skin.

6. Garden of Life Extra Virgin Coconut Oil Recommended to me by a girlfriend who swore by this in her pregnancy. I usually use this at night. It is a pressed oil, so it heats up once in your hands. No nasty smell. And, you can even cook with it if you choose! I found mine in the oil section at Lowes Foods.

7. St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse I used this before I was pregnant and have recently started applying again. A little tan goes a long way when I look in the mirror these days!

Alright Mommas and Mommas-to-Be...spill it! I want to hear your tips on what your essentials are. It will be interesting to see how this list changes with the last trimester!

And since it's Friday, here is what has been on my mind the last few days making me laugh....

Never underestimate the power of the yoga pant.

Happy Weekend!!

I love Gap Pure Body, so soft! And oh, I lived on Tums when I was pregnant. Love that e-card!

What do you use the coconut oil for? As lotion? Keeping these tips in mind for the (hopeful) future! ;)

I couldn't have lived without my body pillow at the end. Not one of those huge, expensive pregnancy pillows -- just a $10 body pillow from Target. It made all the difference in the world.

I could so use some tanning lotion right now...nothing like lack of sleep due to a newborn for that nice tired pale look, but I'm afraid of it rubbing off on her skin while she's snuggled against me. ;)
