It's a start...

Our tree is up! Cue the trumpets! We had several speedbumps along the way, including two different parts of the tree at different times not lighting up that made this years decorating one half of a step from losing my mind. However, I think we are in the clear now and good to go. After the tree debacle I decided to keep my Christmas decorations on a simpler scale and am still working on finishing touches. I hope to be done by next week!

I'm not quite sure what Dixie is looking at in the tree but I'm sort of scared. I don't think theres a squirrel in there, a la Griswold family Christmas.

If we come home and the tree is knocked down....

Have a wonderful day y'all!

YAY! I'm super jealous. I want a Christmas tree SO bad. I told my husband that as soon as Carpet goes in the living room I'm buying a tree and putting it up. Regardless of if we're moved in or not lol

I think the picture is cute!! Maybe Dixie thinks she should get one of the ornaments. I started decorating two days ago--the mantle and a few things are complete. We really don't have a good place for a tree, but I think I am going to just get a small one and tuck it against a wall. We've always gotten a live one, but I don't have a stand, which means I'll have to go buy one. I've also thought about getting a living tree and putting it in a pretty basket or bucket, but then what do I do with it after Christmas??

Oooh, I love your gorgeous white tree, I remember finding your blog last year when I saw it somewhere. Lights can certainly take the fun out of decorating the tree, I know! :)
