Feeling Yellow

One of my favorite colors so far that seems to fly a little under the radar this spring is yellow. I've already picked up a few pieces for my wardrobe, but how fun are these with this punch of color?

I've been spying that Trina dress for quite some time now, and the necklace has moved to the top of my lust list for Spring! And since I love you all, I will let you in on a little secret in case you haven't already heard of this site. This top is $38 available here. I have bought several things here lately and have not been disappointed! Prices are amazing! {Sorry for this bad pic btw, I was rushing this morning!}

I also bought this last weekend in Raleigh shopping with my Mom. Only $45 at Banana! I didn't see the yellow online, but should be in stores. I guess it is supposed to be meant for layering but I cannot wait to pair with white denim, shorts etc for summer. Great and inexpensive way to incorporate the lace trend with out spending too much.

Lastly, thank you all SO, SO much for your amazingly sweet and thoughtful comments over the past week on our engagement, wedding, etc. I wish I could reach out and hug each and every one of you for  truly making my day. Even though our wedding was almost two years ago it has been so much fun to relive through these posts!!

XOXO.

Our Ceremony

Good morning y'all! How are you this Monday morning? Bright and early, Stephen walked in and announced we were out of coffee {he is in charge of the coffee}...major sigh... but then he totally redeemed himself by saying he was headed out to grab us a few cups of coffee from our local shop! It's the little things I tell you!

I hope you all aren't tiring of the wedding photos...I really didn't know if I would end up sharing all of these but now that I have started I feel like I need to finish it up! Here it goes!

My Dad and I are about to walk into the church here, this is directly outside of the doors to the sanctuary. "Wow" is all I can say with the emotions felt at this moment! I think my Dad would agree!

I love that you can see Stephen smiling over my Dad's shoulder here.
My sweet Grandpa is seen to my left.

Stephen and his Best Man, his father.

My Uncle David was our Reader.

We got married in Stephen's church, it is gorgeous. I love this photo! I want to get it framed for our house.

This was actually a funny moment because my Dad was instructed by the wedding coordinator to make sure when he lifted my veil that it was perfect, not standing up in the air or anything. It took what seemed like several minutes to get it right, so we all giggled a little bit!

At first I didn't know if I wanted these shots from behind the alter, but I'm glad our photographer took them now!

The kiss!

Just Married!

And with this we were off to the reception! I hope you all enjoyed a look at our ceremony, it was so special to me!! Hope you all had a great weekend and are off to an even better start of the week! xoxo.

Sunday Morning

Drinking a little of this.....

Having fun with a craft I've been wanting to do for a while...

Browsing some online shops, lunching, and hopefully going to see a little sunshine later today.

What are you up to this Sunday morning?

Before the Ceremony

The day of our wedding I spent relaxing and primping at my parent's beach house. Hair and makeup was done there and I just sat around and enjoyed being with my family and soaking up the feelings of getting married later that evening. My beautiful bridesmaids joined me at the house, and then we headed over to the church in a limo. Many thanks to my sister and bridesmaid Seldon who I stole some of these photos off of their facebook page!

Bringing a little bubbly for the ride!

This is the only time in your life when you can wear a tank that says "bride" plastered on it, so why not?!

With my mom and older sister...

My handsome hubby to be!

Seal of approval.

 Love my Mom.

My Dad and I about to walk in!

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed a little "before the ceremony" inspiration. We are hosting an engagement party tonight for great friends and I am so excited. Pics to come! Do y'all have plans this weekend? Would love to hear! xoxo.

Sofa Styling

Did you all catch the article on Glitter Guide about sofa styling? As soon as I saw it hit my inbox I had to read further. First of all, this pink sofa is crazy amazing...why does a pink sofa not work in my house? Just kidding, I am really happy with my new white one I got for my birthday this past November! I do love the styling tips provided by Jamie of Furbish {crazy that her store is in Raleigh and I have never been!}. Here's the rundown if you missed it.

Add a textile first {love the striped below}. Start with a pair of 20" or 22" pillows on each side and add a different shape pillow in the center. Add a second set of square pillows..they can match or not. Either way you want one print that is going to tie it all together. Try to use the combination of one floral, one geometric and one striped...and mix scales. You have to go check the article out, it is a must read!

And for some more sofa eye candy, take a look at these.

I have a thing for buying throw pillows- I change them up by season and by holidays. It's a fun and inexpensive way to keep your look updated and fresh. The next thing on my list is going to be a textile that I can add to the back of our sofa, I love that. My favorite sofas are always an effortless look, inviting with fun prints and colors. Something that looks thrown together but chic!

And, thank you all so much for your sweet comments on our engagement and pre-wedding pictures. I was unsure if I wanted to share those on here, but I am so glad I did. Thank you so, so much for making my week! Hope you all have a great Thursday! xoxo.
