One Room Challenge: Week Five!!

Good Morning and welcome back to the week before the final reveal of the One Room Challenge! I am astounded how quickly this rolled around, really. If you are just joining me, here is a quick rundown: we are busy transforming our hall bath that was in desperate need of updates. So far, we have re-done the cabinet doors, added new faucets, lighting, hardware, mirrors and tile floor, and planked the walls.

You can catch up easily right here:

Ok, so let's be real for a moment. I did not accomplish anything this week besides ordering a few last minute things I need. I am not going to bore you with yet another picture of our bare, white {planked!!} walls...but make sure to scroll down for a peek at some accessories I've been hoarding away to pull this room together. So I really wasn't slacking this week. Instead, my week was filled with family, friends, a concert, throwing an engagement party for my brother and his fiance, a trip to the farmers market, and even a {planned} overnight hospital stay for our son. To say I was busy would be an understatement, and I did keep the challenge in the back of my mind. But I wouldn't change one thing. We made some great memories and had a very happy ending to our week with some amazing news about our little boy's EEG {he has epilepsy} being normal. That alone made me feel like I have won the lottery. Nothing like a night in the hospital to put things in perpective, not only on a health level..but just being in the comfort of your own home instead of a place like that. I am so happy to be back home and I am looking forward to wrapping up this room. Being away forced me to make some big decisions and it was a welcome distraction. Good luck to everyone else and if you want to follow along in real time, find me @missdixie30 on instagram. Can't wait to see what everyone has accomplished this week, I think most had more things crossed off their list than me ;)

So glad to hear your little one is doing OK. My good friend has epilepsy and it sure is scary. But don't feel too bad, I didn't accomplish anything this week either.

Glad you got some good news from your hospital visit. My dad has epilepsy and while it is a very scary thing when the seizures happen, he's on a good mix of meds to keep them to a minimum. Can't wait to see your reveal!!

There are definitely more important things in life than decorating bathrooms! So happy your little one received good results, Katie!

Hurrah! That's great news about your son- my mom and my husband both have epilepsy, but the seizures are under control thanks to Dilatin.
