Be the Mom...

Because that's what it all really boils down to, right? I never shared in depth the personal struggles and choices when becoming a Mom for the first year...breastfeeding, sleep schedules, blah blah blah. Sometimes I feel like that is such a platform for comparison for Moms and I'm not really into that. {And if you do that, that's cool, just not my thing}. What's important is if you are being the Mom you want that sweet baby to remember.

It's funny...once I became a Mom my excitement for celebrating my own Mother on Mother's Day did not change. I am ready and eager to celebrate her {and of course my wonderful MIL}. But celebrate me? I just want to hold that sweet boy and I am so thankful that God gave me the gift of being able to do that.

Cheers to all the Moms out there!

And thanks Mom. I love you!

One of the reasons I love your blog is you're now a mom who still seems to maintain her own identity while loving a sweet little one! It is so refreshing and fun to read as a fellow young mom :)

While I won't be a mom until October of this year, this post is so true! I think Mother's Day becomes extra special when the daughter becomes a mom as well. I will always celebrate extra for my mom, even when I become one. Enjoy your day with your sweet family!

This is so true!!! Be the dang mom you want to be and be proud of your choices! I have been meaning to write a post about this exact thing. I had NO idea that the first year of mommy-hood would come along with so much stress/judgement from other moms. Crazy!

happy mothers day, friend! xo
