Under $100 Gift List

Under 100 Gift list

Here's a rundown of ideas to hit some people that are sure to be on your list. All are under $100, and some are very well under $100.

For your sister or good friend or even Mom- this Philosophy set is sure to please. I usually get a bottle of the wash in my stocking every year and it is just heavenly. I can imagine the other items in the set would be splendid as well. Ok, maybe add that to gift for myself.
A nice dopp kit for your man or Dad would be well appreciated while travelling. Those things always need updating ever so often anyway I think. I love the brown leather.
A keepsake box {also available in pink} for a special baby is so sweet and can be personalized.
I had to add the scarf because it is just so beautiful in soft neutrals and we all know everyone still shops a little bit for themselves right now.
And last but not least, my favorite stemless chardonnay tumblers. You can never have enough and Mom and Dad would surely enjoy.

And of course, linking up with more Favorite Gift Ideas Under $100 with Elise and Jen!

Asheville Wedding Weekend

One of my dear, dear friends from college got married a few weekends ago in Asheville, NC and it was hands down, one of the most gorgeous weddings I have ever been to. My friend, Seldon, and her fiance, Mark, were originally going to get married in May of 2013 when an unexpected family tragedy occurred. Needless to say, this couple was so incredibly deserving of a special wedding day. None of the frills were necessary because of the love that radiated from them. But the frills were certainly gorgeous! Here's a peek from the wedding day.

One of our bridesmaid gifts- a monogrammed shirt to wear on the wedding day while we got ready.

The flowers were just insane. I mean incredible.

We had an amazing team of hair stylists come style our hair as we wished, and the bride and her family had beautiful, classic makeup done.

That's enough of amateur hour though, if you want to see her amazing photographer, check out AJ Dunlap PhotographyThis is just one photo of their wedding day! Based out of Raleigh, NC and they are an adorable couple that shoots together. Seriously, check them out.

*If anyone is interested, I can certainly ask the bride for more vendor information*

Back to the wedding day...My parents are members of the club that the wedding was at, so they were able to watch baby Weeks with ease at the restaurant while we enjoyed the reception. We rented two cabins for the weekend and almost the whole family came along.

My Dad and I...

My Mom and I, my sister Stephanie and my brother's girlfriend Lynsey.

Weeks playing with Daddy {in the bar!}

Seldon, your wedding was amazing and I hope your marriage is even more beautiful than your wedding day. Love you lady! XO.

And one other picture of our mountain weekend...

This little guy took his first swing ride outside our cabin and LOVED it. I was busy with wedding festivities, so when I got this text I pretty much melted.

 love.

Gap and JCrew Deals and Steals

Happy Day After Thanksgiving Y'all! I sincerely hope you all had a wonderful day giving thanks with loved ones. We had a crazy turn of events in the last few days with a tornado (yes, a tornado) which meant no sleep and now a cold, and I didn't even think to hit "publish" with a post that I had written for Thanksgiving. So maybe you will see that at some point. I will not be partaking in crazy madness at stores today, but I do love to browse online. I'm not here to tell you every deal there is out there, but I will share some favorites from a few of my go-tos: Gap and J.Crew. Both have some great deals to stock up on.

For Gap, 50% off everything! That's nice. Use code BLKFRIDAY and click on any of the images below. I picked some nice basics for Momma (and I am obsessed with the bow blouse!!) and then some baby essentials and the cutest little vest. Love a baby in a vest!

For JCrew, 30% off your purchase with code HOLIDAY. To be sure, I found things for myself (the first shirt is Christmas card worthy!), for the man in your life and then the babes in your life. Please check out the tunic and bloomers for baby girl. Someone please buy them! They are just so precious.

Enjoy your day and weekend!

Katie's Favorite Stocking Stuffers

Stocking Stuffers

Stocking stuffers...one of my favorite parts about Christmas! I love finding little knick knacks for Stephen's stocking and I've started gathering a few things for the little man as well.
The perfect stocking for me would include a few things that I always use and get a free restock on, and something fun and unexpected...maybe sparkly!

I love adding a new bracelet, especially one that I can integrate into my everyday set of bracelets I never take off. This Kate Spade hinged bangle would go perfectly with my John Hardy!
This is my current mascara and it would be so nice not to have to buy my next tube!
I can never have enough lip gloss, so this set would be so fun for me to have and try out the four colors!
I think this beanie would be fun to have just in case we get a snow day this winter. I haven't updated my winter hats in quite a long time so that would be fun to have. Andddd its only $15?!
I saw this shade yesterday and would love to add this Butter nail lacquer to my collection.
Last but not least, one can never have too many gift cards. Target is the perfect spot for me to stock up on gift cards. I always, always can have fun in that store!

And make sure to check out Cheers Y'all and Down with the Dearmore's for more stocking stuffer lists!

Christmas Chalkboards + Printables Roundup

Happy Thanksgiving Week Everyone! I know I'm posting on Christmas today, but that doesn't mean I will not be celebrating Thanksgiving to the fullest {literally} on Thursday. I wanted to do some brainstorming for my chalkboard because these kinds of things usually take me a while so I have to plan ahead. Here are some ideas/inspiration and even some free printables for you to get the wheels turning for your chalkboard if you wish. Printing off one sounds a whole lot easier than doing it myself but I think I will attempt one good chalkboard design this season. Enjoy!

Katie's Favorite Things

There isn't a better time to be posting on some favorite's right? My birthday and Christmas are literally right around the corner. Here is what I am loving....

katies faves
I am all kinds of obsessed with blue and white and am slowly working on my Blue Willow collection. Nothing is as timeless and I love the change of adding some color to our dishes!

I keep on saying it, but seriously I have a new love affair with these jeans. I wouldn't mind having this pair of Rag and Bone Destroyed Denim. Have you tried them on? Just give them a shot y'all.

I am a self proclaimed lover of a nice robe and I update ever so often. Loving this Juicy Velvet Robe, it looks incredibly soft.

For all the pale days of winter, I like to keep my skin looking brighter than what it truely is. I would love to stock up with the St. Tropez Tanning Essentials.

I love my Caroline flats and would love to add this pair of wedges to my Tory Collection. I think the Tory Burch Caroline Wedge would be fabulous in this color. PS- on sale!

So excited to be linking up to this fun series!

Fall in NC

A few weeks ago we had an unexpected date night. It was a mild fall evening and just unbelievably beautiful. We only made it out on the boat twice the entire summer, so we loved getting to go for a ride and catch up on "us" time.

I grabbed my camera right before running out the door and thought I was all set for taking some gorgeous photos. Well, low and behold I pulled out my camera to snap a photo and I realized that I forgot to put the batteries back in my camera. So I had a camera with no batteries and of course for about an hour we watched a beautiful October sunset and dolphins upon dolphins upon dolphins playing in the sound. So we took selfies instead!

Fast forward to yesterday...we had the strangest weather all weekend. Saturday and Sunday we woke up to a heavy fog and after it burned off we had warm, sunny days. So warm, that we took the boat to lunch yesterday with this little guy. I was dreading the life jacket debacle because it didn't go so well the last time. But he did great, such a good sport as usual.

After lunch he was wiped out and snoozed the entire way home. By the way, he totally has his Mommy's hair. Once it hits that humidity- bam, curls! My hair looked similar, but it's really cute on him- me not so much!

Hope y'all had a fantastic weekend!
