I love this Metallic Front Tank, it is perfect for the holidays when you want to be festive but don't need to go as far as wearing a fancy dress.

My sister wore this top yesterday and it was so cute! Nothing is cuter than a baby in Christmas pajamas, see them all here.

I also love this boyfriend flannel shirt, also take an additional 40% off. I bought this top last week and I can see myself wearing it now or even in the spring with white jeans. It's so flattering on, much cuter in person too!

There are also tons of mens shirts that are available with the additional discount, making them a great deal. I couldn't choose just one! Stephen has really loved his J.Crew shirts.

Everyone has been really excited about Lou + Grey and I have to say I love their line as well. This Brushstroke Tunic is so cute and a little edgy but pretty.

The Palm Tree Boutique: Elbow Pocket Jacket

I was recently introduced to The Palm Tree Boutique, which is a cute online shop with an affordable and amazing selection of cute clothes. I had the opportunity to choose a piece to try and I immediately loved this army green jacket with elbow patches. Most days I am on the more casual side and this fits perfectly into my wardrobe. I could throw it on with jeans and white v neck t shirt, or step it up a notch with a sequin top like I did yesterday. By the way...y'all know I love fashion but don't usually post pictures of myself necessarily...so go easy on my first try! ;)

I'm obsessed with the elbow patches! I think that is the best part about finding clothing with great prices, but not compromising quality and style. And as I said everything The Palm Tree Boutique offers is incredibly well priced, making shopping easy and fun.

Jacket / Jeans similar / Top: Old J.Crew / Boots / Bag
And, now through December 15, The Palm Tree Boutique is offering 15% off to my readers with code MISSDIXIE15% . You can find there website here and Instagram here!

I sincerely hope each and every one of you has a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for your sweet words and kindness, and just visiting to read this little blog of mine.

My Favorite Things: Stocking Stuffers

Welcome back for our second week of My Favorite Things! This week we are shelling out our best ideas for stockings. Stockings are a great time to restock a loved one with things they might be running low on, or branch out and do something new and fun. A few things that come to mind? A favorite lip gloss, a favorite coffee/maybe something a step up from the usual, something pretty- a costume piece of jewelry, and something to inspire fit living in the New Year. I threw in some other cuties as well: those sweet little fleece booties for the little ones.
Stocking Stuffers

agate coasters {these are similar to mine from the ORC} / pearl lock bracelet {one can never have enough} / touche eclat concealer {limited edition and this stuff is amazing!} / nike armband for iphone
 {comes in pink or black. I would love one! hint, hint}

starbucks bag {make some Christmas morning} /  turbo body bar {Stephen loves this!} / plaid tie {great company and lovely ties and bowties}

Piperlime Shoe Steals {Under $40}

View this as a PSA or just me being on my computer too much last night trying to knock out some online shopping/get ready for tomorrow's gift guide link up...but y'all...these shoes! They are practically giving them away, all of them are on sale for under $40, most of them about $30. And, most of them are normally priced well over $100. That is insane! I know I am still missing some shoes in my wardrobe because I tend to look and hesitate to buy. But it's hard not to at these prices. With the holidays ahead, I needed some pep in my step. Enjoy!

{Also available in black and silver!}

{Also available in red, silver, blush and black!}

On top of these amazing, complete steals...there are also some majorly discounted higher end shoes, like these Loeffler Randall pretties.

My Favorite Things: My Christmas List

Hey y'all! Thanks for stopping by for the first linkup of our My Favorite Things series. This week we are posting all about what is on OUR Christmas lists. Truth be told, this was pretty easy for me because I have been sending these lists out to my family/Stephen/his family as well because my birthday is right around the corner too. Since I have been so focused on the house this year, it felt good to put some things on the list just for me. Without further adieu....

My Christmas List
Majesty Peacoat It's always nice to brighten up my winter wardrobe in the midst of the sea of black I gravitate towards. This coral number is just the ticket. I am really, really, really loving the color. // Tara Slouch Boot Let's now talk about Frye boots...I have three pairs and they do not go out of style and they just get better with age. An absolute staple but they are worth the investment in my opinion. I love these with a little heel to step it up a notch when I am still on the casual side. I think they would be great for going out for a casual dinner, but wanting some height. // Soho Studs Love these new earrings by Moon and Lola. Such a fun twist on the classic pearl, right?! // Marble + Wood Cheese Board This is so pretty with the marble, and I love a good cheese tray! // 85 mm Lens I am becoming more and more interested in photography. Not that I am really great or anything, but I love playing around with my camera and improving my skills. I am missing this lens in my camera bag and would love to own it! // Jo Malone Perfume I have been using a sample of Jo Malone's Wood Sage and Sea Salt and I love it. I mix it sometimes with the Peony scent and it's my fave! // Tory Burch In Color Last but not least, one can never have enough coffee table books. I would love this one to go in the den, such a beautiful cover!

Design Idea: Decorate Your Stairs

I mentioned a few days ago how excited I was to finally have a staircase to decorate for Christmas. I know, seems a little silly. But, I have always enjoyed seeing how people decorate their staircases for the holidays, so I am excited to be able to do it myself this year. As luck would have it, looks like I really enjoy the real and natural look to the garland. I'm quite sure that is the expensive stuff. You know, the kind you don't have to cover up with a million ornaments and bows. So if anyone has the lowdown on nice garland that isn't outrageous go ahead and let me know, pretty please! Ps- my favorite look of all of the above is the last one. I love those pretty bows. Not sure that will be the look I go for with a tricky bookcase/tv cabinet underneath but it sure is a beauty!

And, don't forget to link up with us tomorrow for the first linkup of My Favorite Things. An awesome way to get some ideas flowing for Christmas...I love seeing other roundups for gift guides. Such a great way to scour the internet for deals/items I may not ever see!

Five on Friday: All Sorts of Fun Stuff

One: My Favorite Things
In case you missed our announcement earlier this week, we are so excited to bring you a gift guide link up series for the holidays. Does anyone else have people demanding lists from you already? Yes, I do. I love those people. But I do feel like I always fail them on getting a list on time. This year, I'm on top of it! Make sure to join us this coming Tuesday for linking up YOUR Christmas list.

Two. Cant Stop Wont Stop
Ok, so I barely have gotten over my One Room Challenge Hangover and I am already jumping on board to Christmas decorations. Some years I am into it, some years I am not. I mean, I always do some decorations, but sometimes I don't feel like reinventing the wheel and all that. This year, I am into the decorations. I am sure it's because we have a new house/new space to decorate. Oh, and I do have a brand new staircase that is begging for some garland! Inside squeel/yay! I already got started on some easy indoor blooms this week...If you want to see my post on how to force paperwhites, check here.

Three. Savoring Soups.
I just love soup season, don't you? Best part- leftovers. I made this soup several weeks ago and have one container left in the freezer. It just might get pulled out this weekend since we are under a freeze warning! {Straight from summer to winter in the south} Find the recipe here. It is incredible and I can't wait to make it again!

Four. J.Crew Sale
Hello...25% off. I remember some things I wanted last year being sold out come December...so stock up now. I am loving this sweater, this vest and this would be on repeat at least once a week  Remember to use the code SHOPNOW at checkout! Link for popover below is here.

Five. Veterans Day.
I have a very big soft spot for Veterans and all of those who are serving our country. What a sacrifice! My grandfather was a pilot in WW2 and I greatly admire him. I only wish I could hear more of his stories. We live close to a base and occasionally see marines in local restaurants. Last night, one happened to sit right behind us in an otherwise empty restaurant. I didn't even have to turn around, after hearing him speak to the waiter, I knew that this young man was probably in the marines. When he was in the bathroom, Stephen asked the waiter if he indeed was a marine and he agreed most likely. Stephen told him to go ahead and give him his tab. As soon as that young man asked for his check and heard it was taken care of, he jumped up and walked right to our side, thanking us. {Btw we didn't ask the waiter to tell him it was us but he did so anyway}We in turn were thanking him...who else would be so gracious? They deserve so much more than one day of recognition...

Linking up with the lovely ladies of Five on Friday: Christina, April, Darci, Natasha...I'm glad to be back on it this week! Have a great weekend everyone!

The Den: One Room Challenge Reveal

Welcome back to the final week of the One Room Challenge, the reveal! Although the last several weeks have been full of work and little sleep...I have really enjoyed it. And I am over the moon that we have a room "completed" just in time for the holidays. Since we moved in our renovation home in April, we have made changes- some were quick strides and some are like a marathon that take forever. I am thrilled that this room has come together over the past month and we can enjoy this cozy space that made us fall in love with our fixer upper!

I will be doing a full recap on the sources, but I wanted to give a quick overview in case you are just now tuning in. This room had excellent bones and character, it just needed some polishing. And the stairs...they were an entire room themselves, but they have improved in a thousand ways. From carpet, to a million staples, to staining the pine and adding completely new railing...I am thrilled over their sleek look and I know they added so much to this room. I spent a lot of time styling the bookshelves- it takes time if you want them to look good. Slipcovers were made for the existing furniture, and fabulous new throw pillows were made by my my Mom. Most of the decor I already owned, and it came together so well in this room. And just for fun, here is a shot of the before:

Thanks again to Linda for hosting this amazing little challenge. And big thanks to my hubby for sticking this thing out and still loving me ;) Last but not least, check out all my friends as they debut their designs here and here
