Gap and JCrew Deals and Steals

Happy Day After Thanksgiving Y'all! I sincerely hope you all had a wonderful day giving thanks with loved ones. We had a crazy turn of events in the last few days with a tornado (yes, a tornado) which meant no sleep and now a cold, and I didn't even think to hit "publish" with a post that I had written for Thanksgiving. So maybe you will see that at some point. I will not be partaking in crazy madness at stores today, but I do love to browse online. I'm not here to tell you every deal there is out there, but I will share some favorites from a few of my go-tos: Gap and J.Crew. Both have some great deals to stock up on.

For Gap, 50% off everything! That's nice. Use code BLKFRIDAY and click on any of the images below. I picked some nice basics for Momma (and I am obsessed with the bow blouse!!) and then some baby essentials and the cutest little vest. Love a baby in a vest!

For JCrew, 30% off your purchase with code HOLIDAY. To be sure, I found things for myself (the first shirt is Christmas card worthy!), for the man in your life and then the babes in your life. Please check out the tunic and bloomers for baby girl. Someone please buy them! They are just so precious.

Enjoy your day and weekend!

Katie's Favorite Stocking Stuffers

Stocking Stuffers

Stocking stuffers...one of my favorite parts about Christmas! I love finding little knick knacks for Stephen's stocking and I've started gathering a few things for the little man as well.
The perfect stocking for me would include a few things that I always use and get a free restock on, and something fun and unexpected...maybe sparkly!

I love adding a new bracelet, especially one that I can integrate into my everyday set of bracelets I never take off. This Kate Spade hinged bangle would go perfectly with my John Hardy!
This is my current mascara and it would be so nice not to have to buy my next tube!
I can never have enough lip gloss, so this set would be so fun for me to have and try out the four colors!
I think this beanie would be fun to have just in case we get a snow day this winter. I haven't updated my winter hats in quite a long time so that would be fun to have. Andddd its only $15?!
I saw this shade yesterday and would love to add this Butter nail lacquer to my collection.
Last but not least, one can never have too many gift cards. Target is the perfect spot for me to stock up on gift cards. I always, always can have fun in that store!

And make sure to check out Cheers Y'all and Down with the Dearmore's for more stocking stuffer lists!

Christmas Chalkboards + Printables Roundup

Happy Thanksgiving Week Everyone! I know I'm posting on Christmas today, but that doesn't mean I will not be celebrating Thanksgiving to the fullest {literally} on Thursday. I wanted to do some brainstorming for my chalkboard because these kinds of things usually take me a while so I have to plan ahead. Here are some ideas/inspiration and even some free printables for you to get the wheels turning for your chalkboard if you wish. Printing off one sounds a whole lot easier than doing it myself but I think I will attempt one good chalkboard design this season. Enjoy!

We had the best weekend celebrating my dear friend Seldon and her new hubby Mark. I hope you all had a wonderful one too. It's below freezing here at the beach and I actually kind of love it!

Katie's Favorite Things

There isn't a better time to be posting on some favorite's right? My birthday and Christmas are literally right around the corner. Here is what I am loving....

katies faves
I am all kinds of obsessed with blue and white and am slowly working on my Blue Willow collection. Nothing is as timeless and I love the change of adding some color to our dishes!

I keep on saying it, but seriously I have a new love affair with these jeans. I wouldn't mind having this pair of Rag and Bone Destroyed Denim. Have you tried them on? Just give them a shot y'all.

I am a self proclaimed lover of a nice robe and I update ever so often. Loving this Juicy Velvet Robe, it looks incredibly soft.

For all the pale days of winter, I like to keep my skin looking brighter than what it truely is. I would love to stock up with the St. Tropez Tanning Essentials.

I love my Caroline flats and would love to add this pair of wedges to my Tory Collection. I think the Tory Burch Caroline Wedge would be fabulous in this color. PS- on sale!

So excited to be linking up to this fun series!

Fall in NC

A few weeks ago we had an unexpected date night. It was a mild fall evening and just unbelievably beautiful. We only made it out on the boat twice the entire summer, so we loved getting to go for a ride and catch up on "us" time.

I grabbed my camera right before running out the door and thought I was all set for taking some gorgeous photos. Well, low and behold I pulled out my camera to snap a photo and I realized that I forgot to put the batteries back in my camera. So I had a camera with no batteries and of course for about an hour we watched a beautiful October sunset and dolphins upon dolphins upon dolphins playing in the sound. So we took selfies instead!

Fast forward to yesterday...we had the strangest weather all weekend. Saturday and Sunday we woke up to a heavy fog and after it burned off we had warm, sunny days. So warm, that we took the boat to lunch yesterday with this little guy. I was dreading the life jacket debacle because it didn't go so well the last time. But he did great, such a good sport as usual.

After lunch he was wiped out and snoozed the entire way home. By the way, he totally has his Mommy's hair. Once it hits that humidity- bam, curls! My hair looked similar, but it's really cute on him- me not so much!

Hope y'all had a fantastic weekend!

Babys First Christmas Ideas

I would like to do a few crafty things for Weeks' first Christmas and have been browsing pinterest like crazy. Have you seen anything really special? A favorite DIY ornament? Would love to hear suggestions!

Boy Toys and Teething
Santa made a mistake and came a little early. What will we do to top this new ride? Because he loves it and and the sounds and how cool he looks in it. Hey girls, wanna ride?

Dixie, you know you can't ride in my car!

We also finally cut a tooth! Thank goodness!! He had been biting on his bottle for what seemed like forever which made feeding time a little frustrating and confusing as to what was really going on. Other than that he hasn't been cranky or fussy. Just as sweet as sugar and proud of that tooth!

Black Booties
Loving my new suede booties! They are perfect for my lifestyle right now- never too dressed up, but wanting to look put together when we get to go out. And I love the gold zipper detail, they are just beauties. They also come in a really pretty brown. I also have noticed at night I prefer my feet to be warm, instead of a pump or ballet flat that would leave them exposed. Bloomingdales is having a friends and family sale right now, use code FANDF for 20% off! Find them here.

Thanksgiving Decor
We have never hosted Thanksgiving at our home, but I love the way this table is set up. I think it would be so fun to plan out the table in advance and have it really thoughtfully put together! All of that aside, I have so much to be thankful for and this year I will undoubtedly have some even stronger feelings for giving thanks on this special day. I cannot believe it's in just a few weeks!

Y'all have a great weekend!

Christmas Tidbits

I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little more excited for Christmas this year than usual. I'm so thankful for my family of three (ok five counting Dix and Tuck!) and I want it to be a really special time for all of us. So much so, I think I'm going to pull out the Christmas totes from the attic and decorate a little early! We are so busy over the next month and I want to get to enjoy it more than a few weekends. We won't be in town for Thanksgiving so I really don't mind that the house will be full blown Christmas a little early. These Christmas images are really making me feel cozy in this frigid weather we have had for a few days.

What about you? Decorating a little early this year?

Little Target Thrills

Nothing like successful trip to Target, right?
Here are the highlights that I couldn't be more excited about.

Can't wait to hang these antlers in Weeks' room and dangle a few ornaments or garland from them! Although, it will stay up year round. I love that we still have wall space in his nursery to add things as he gets older. This blanket is so incredibly soft and it will be perfect for Christmas year after year. I am taking it to the monogrammer today to have Weeks put on it! And this kilim table runner looks so much nicer than the price tag would lead on. I could not find it online but it should be in stores with the Christmas section.

And my little shopping buddy. Love him to pieces.

Have a great day y'all.

ORC Design Inspiration

Friday night I spent some time with my baby on my lap sleeping and browsing some major design inspiration from the One Room Challenge. It's been a while since I have been able to spend more than a few minutes at a time browsing blogs. Nothing is better than being able to accomplish something with him in my hands!

If you aren't familiar with it, the ORC is a challenge to completely redesign a room in a month flat. Majorly inspiring with a lot of work to boot. I am a quiet, secret admirer of all of the work these ladies do. As a lot of you may notice, I am not a huge commenter (or blogger) these days just due to lack of time trying to juggle it all. Working on that I SWEAR. Please know I enjoy each and every comment ;)

Anyhow, I do want to share some of my favorites from the Challenge and I can only hope I can join the challenge and link up in April! (Don't choke reading that Stephen) Enjoy this totally original eye candy y'all....

Halloween Puppy Love

Halloween with a baby is so much more fun than anything I could do on my own. Seeing that sweet little face smile (and also show disinterest) is pretty much the cutest thing ever. All in all, he was a good sport. Of course, we were trying to get him ready to walk down the street to go "trick or treating" as it was his dinner time, so he wasn't too thrilled about that. Otherwise, he was a perfect puppy!

Happy Halloween, my sweet boy...

Here is where he was less than amused... So not cool Mom and Dad!

And after dinner, getting ready to walk to our neighbors houses.

We tried his costume on a few days ahead of time and got this face.

And this was the face, the biggest smile of the night, after his costume finally came off!

Hope you guys had a great Halloween and first weekend of November!
